Road Trip Ready

Now that summer is here and the kids are out of school, a lot of people are prepping for family road trips. It's essential to remember a few things while you're out adventuring, though! Be sure to put the following items on your checklist:

  • Maps - be it your phone, GPS, or actual paper maps (people still have those, believe it or not), you have to be prepared with something. Otherwise, you know, a kid might need to use the bathroom and you won't have any idea where to pull over - and no one wants that.
  • A good playlist - long drives require good music, and that doesn't even need explaining.
  • Food & water - especially important if you're traveling with children. If something goes wrong on the road, at least you'll have the basics!
  • Toiletries - not every rest stop has what you're going to need, just saying....
  • Spare set of keys - another no brainer.
  • Jumper cables - it's a lot easier to get out of a stall if you just have your own cables at the ready. Many people (for some crazy reason) don't consistently carry jumper cables in their car, so it's better if you keep yourself prepared.
  • Flat tire kit - Do you have a jack? Some Fix A Flat? You better!
